ABOUT THIS REFERRAL PROGRAM

Many of our alumni have been very successful in the data science field and their lives have been positively changed from attending our Data Science Bootcamps. The purpose of the NYCDSA Student Referral Program is to encourage the Academy’s students and alumni to help more people gain the same benefit as they had attained from attending the Data Science Bootcamps both in-person and online.

Eligibility Requirements

NYCDSA students and alumni are those who are currently attending or have attended and successfully completed the In-person Data Science Bootcamp and Online Data Science Bootcamp are eligible to participate in the referral program. Their record of attending and completing a bootcamp must be verifiable in the Academy’s record. This program may not be retrospectively applied to any student previously referred and enrolled.

Referral Fee and Payment Options

• For one referred candidate for Data Science Bootcamp – Residential or In-person, who gets enrolled, officially starts, and remains fully engaged in learning for at least four consecutive weeks, the referring student or alumnus will be paid a referral fee of One Thousand ($1,000.00). Payment will be approved in the fifth week of the bootcamp in which the student is attending, and the check will be mailed on the closest day when the Academy processes checks.
• For one referred candidate for the Data Science Bootcamp – Online, who gets enrolled, officially starts, and remains fully engaged in learning for at least six weeks in the Full-Time (16 Weeks) version or for at least eight weeks in the Part-time (24 weeks) version, the referring student or alumnus will be paid a referral fee of One Thousand ($1,000.00). Payment will be approved in the seventh or ninth week respectively, and the check will be mailed on the closest day when the Academy processes checks.
• The following payment options are available to meet the wish of the referring alumnus:
  a) Payment is applied as tuition credit towards any professional development course;
  b) Payment is made with a check to the referring alumnus;
  c) Payment is reserved as credit to the alumnus’s account for future disposal such as gifting toward tuition of beneficiary who enrolls at the Academy or elsewhere; or
  d) Payment is made to a charitable organization of choice by the alumnus.
